Year 5

Y5

Welcome to Year 5. At Kingsland we believe that children learn better when motivated by interesting and enjoyable activities. In Year 5 we always look for new ways of stimulating children's learning and making the curriculum come to life.

Year 5 is a very important year for our pupils. Staff are focused on ensuring that children are prepared academically and personally for life in Year 6 and beyond. We expect children to be well organised and able to work with increasing independence to help them to cope with the challenges they will face in their future school careers.

Our classroom is a stimulating environment which motivates children to work hard and achieve highly whilst having fun. We strive to provide the children with a broad, balanced and creative curriculum catering to the needs of all children.

The teaching staff are Mr Thorsby (Class Teacher) and Mrs McNicholas (Teaching Assistant).

Find out what we are learning this term by viewing our Parents' Information sheet and what we are learning all year by clicking on the Curriculum Overview:
