During this important year your child will be supported by Miss Down (Class Teacher), Miss Parfitt (Class Teacher), Mr Gunning (Class Teacher), Mrs Hillman (Teaching Assistant), Mrs Danks (Teaching Assistant) and Mrs Robinson (Teaching Assistant).
We are all looking forward to working in close partnership with your family as your child continues on their learning journey with us.

All children deserve the best possible start in their education and support to fulfill their potential. Reception year will lay the foundations for your child to become independent, self-motivated and equipped with the skills needed for future school life.

Find out what we are learning this term by viewing our Parents' Information sheet and what we are learning all year by clicking on the Curriculum Overview:

In the Foundation Stage there are seven areas of learning:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED)
  • Communication and Language (CL)
  • Mathematics (M)
  • Literacy (L)
  • Expressive Arts & Design (EAD)
  • Physical Development (PD)
  • Understanding the World (UW)

Much of the learning is child initiated and involves a lot of fun!
