Uniform

Parents are advised strongly to make sure that all of their children's clothing is clearly marked with their child's name.

Please note, V-neck jumpers and cardigans will be available from our school office from the Summer term. It will also be available from Gogna Schoolwear,67/69 Rookery Road, Birmingham, B21 9QU and on their website www.gognaschoolwear.co.uk.

Nursery, EYFS and Years 1 & 2

  • A light blue polo shirt
  • A grey v-neck jumper or cardigan
  • Grey trousers or skirt
  • Grey socks or tights
  • Shoes will be of a leather material that can be polished

Key Stage 2

  • A light blue shirt with collar
  • A grey v-neck jumper or cardigan
  • Grey trousers or skirt
  • A school tie (Y3-6)
  • Grey socks or tights
  • Shoes will be of a leather material that can be polished
  • Summer dresses for all girls will be light blue check or stripe

Shoes

In all cases, black or dark brown 'sensible' shoes should be worn as part of the school uniform - never trainers. Girls are not allowed to wear high heeled shoes, toeless sandals or flip-flop style shoes for safety.

PE/Games

For all children:

  • Plain white tee shirt
  • Black shorts
  • Plain black pumps (for gym use)
  • Trainers (for outside)
  • Grey or dark-coloured tracksuit (for outside only)

It is suggested that children have a dark-coloured tracksuit for outdoor games. Labelled sports brands or 'designer' items of clothes are strongly discouraged and school will not accept responsibility for these expensive items.

In the interests of hygiene all children are expected to change for PE/games lessons and PE/Games kits should be kept in a clothes bag and should remain in school during the week and taken home at week-ends and holidays so that the kit can be washed.

Dress for Swimming

On a rota basis, children attend swimming lessons and will need swimming costumes. Please note that the policy of the local swimming baths does not allow boys to wear baggy or long shorts (trunks are the best option). Girls are required to have their long hair tied back and they not allowed to wear two-piece costumes.

Jewellery

Jewellery can be dangerous for pupils at school in the 'rough and tumble' of the playground. The only jewellery allowed is –

  • A small flat signet ring
  • Gold stud earrings
  • A basic watch
  • Please ensure that your child does not wear any jewellery on swimming days.

Not Acceptable

There are certain things which are not considered appropriate or acceptable:

  • Jeans, trainers and boots should never be worn as part of the school uniform.
  • Odd or unusual, severe, decorative or fashionable hairstyles/haircuts are not permitted.
  • Mobile phones and electronic games/equipment are not allowed in school.

Children who fail to comply with such requirements and standards may be excluded from school. It is, therefore, very important that all parents ensure that children conform to the school's standards and expectations.
